My creature holds a bird skull mask over its face. As birds often represent freedom and skulls represent death or mortality the mask serves as a commentary to feelings of being restrained or lacking freedom. The overall body shape and style of the tail refer to a squirrel, which are creatures known for constantly making preparations. This represents my nature to over plan and prepare to the point of ignoring life around me, much like a squirrel gathering nuts for winter. My creature has a tail of fire with represents the extremes of my nature because fire can symbolize love or hate, passion or rage. I also find it an amusing connection to "lighting a fire under someone" in that I constantly have a fire lit beneath me, always wanting to be busy and be better. Finally the overall theme that I want my creature to convey is that beneath the scary mask that I hide behind there's actually a cute cuddly creature underneath.
