Inspired by the work of Claude Monet, and our recent lesson about “Sky Color”, the fourth and fifth grade students painted a sky and it’s reflection into water. We painted SYMMETRICAL skies and water using sponges. Then we added a building on the HORIZON LINE using paintbrushes to make the landscapes ASYMMETRICAL. This time the students could use blue, but not very many did. When you have so many options why stick to the normal? Everyone was very creative!
